I got a SoundCloud which I should post here, since I post songs quite often. I have 10 up right now. 9 from the album (including select bonus tracks) and 1 new demo I’ve been working on. Also, the album tracks are for free download.

The new demo is entitled (for now) The End. It’s a rough demo but it’s shaping the direction I’m going in. A bit darker and more melodic.

Even though there’s about 20 others I have written and sort of fit.. I’ll find ways to release all of them eventually.

Well today I put up 2 new songs (Blue Moon, Aeon). Both pretty upbeat songs, Blue Moon being a collaboration with Dean (he’s roaming on my forum and actually has some projects of his own that kick ass). (Which he should definitely post on my forum when he sees this entry *ahem*).

I believe I may be putting an EP out shortly. And I’m undecided whether I want to put out a demo before hand or just wait for that….. Hmm. No idea yet.

So that’s about it for now. I have all 13 songs that are made to be on the album demo’d out complete with vocals.. So the next step is making them, you know, not suck.

As you may know one of the main things that inspired this project was showing people how music is created and how it changes. So now that I have things rolling quite well, I’m updating songs quite a bit.

I will be posting in the forum about these updates and it’s a place to discuss them—whether just with others or if you have suggestions. So if you’re interested, join up!

I’d like to thank everyone who’s downloaded Polaris, and I hope you all enjoyed. I’ve actually been working on that song for a week or so now, putting some finishing touches here and there.

There are a bunch of things that I’m hoping to do with Oryann. Not just music either. okay… Mostly music.

I’m talking with my web designer/artist for the band about doing something pretty big soon with the site and my music in general. The first album will have 13 tracks as of now, which will be broken into four sections.. all forming one big story. Each section will contain content, artwork, b-sides, etc. We’re going to work on getting this on the site shortly, to give you all a better idea of what I’m talking about.

Also, forum is coming very shortly. As in probably within the next few days to a week. So keep an eye out and join the fun. :D

Believe it or not, I’ve been playing a lot of the songs acoustically lately and they actually transfer nicely. I’ve even written a few acoustic pieces that I’m trying to figure out what to do with. That’s about all for now I suppose.. Back to the song chart…

I’m putting out the demo of it and probably throw in the instrumental.

I know I said this before but things kind of got.. complicated. I shall post some vocalized previews verrrrry shortly. I added my lyrics to the tracks (text-wise) in iTunes the other day, and now every time I hit a song up, it displays them mockingly to remind me how badly I need to finish recording them. I still find it insane that I remember every melody from all 20+ songs by heart. And you haven’t even heard one line yet =/.

How fun.

I’ve changed the track listing on things so many times I forget which actually made the album sometimes. May even change more… And again… and probably up until it’s actually released. Who knows? Certainly, and strangely, not me.

I’m going to try to do some new things around this dusty, un-updated site too.

For reals. And I’d really like to put a forum up shortly, so definitely check that out.

Also, since I’m finally ready to open up this whole thing, and let my own words and stories out to the world, I’m brainstorming some other things I’d like to do to coincide with this. I will be changing some things on the website with the help of Nicole, my wonderful artistic sidekick, and also working on some original artwork, which will again, be produced by Nicole. I’ll probably put up a lyrics section too, as well as go deeper with my entire concept, which is mixing everything from space and fiction into something real and heartfelt. Basically, it’s being honest with a backdrop of my deepest fascinations.

In other words, it’s going to pretty much kick ass. In other words, this may be my last entry before I finally wise up and put up what I said I would. So keep an eye out over the next week or two!

On a less exciting note, it’s incredibly hard for me to stop writing. Every time I sit down to work I end up thinking of something else. I seriously think it’s a disorder.. Editing and playing with synths from “A Million Miles of Words” sprouted this cool bassline which I went off track to write down.. which turned into “Silence” within about 6 hours. Which is my most recently written song, and probably my favorite.

Oh, and pretty soon, in the distant future (god knows what that translates to) I will be releasing some songs for free. After I put up some samples, of course, and spend time really nailing these vocals down until they’re absolutely perfect. But aside from the unholy amount of time that may take (perhaps up to 30 years at this rate), it’ll be pretty cool. I can say right now that it will be “Blue Moon” with three other songs I have narrowed down.

I suppose I’ll stop rambling now and go to sleep. If I told you anything else I’d literally have to kill you. Maybe.

Which is what I’m going to do. Over the next few months I will be spending more time on finalizing and really getting these tracks done.

I’ve put up a few new songs, which I try to do every now and then. Pretty soon I’ll have to force myself to put up another full instrumental… And very soon vocals WILL be added..! And put up. I just think it’s a better idea to make the music all that it can be before I focus on anything else. So… about it! Gonna have my buddy Chris help me with recording a bit of guitars this week (who I may be starting a separate project with as well…) so that should be fun. Hope the results kick ass.

So on my music page, I have uploaded the whole instrumental demo of Death Star.

I’ve also changed the player up a bit.. Now I just have to actually FINISH making these songs. I sort of realized how much work is left. I will be working on getting these demos mixed and everything into finalized tracks now.

Soon, I’ll be getting a myspace to facilitate the process of spreading my music, promotion, etc. I will also, after all music is finalized, complete vocals. All lyrics and melody are written, and ready to be recorded. When I put vocalized selections up, I will be adding the lyrics section. So that should be something to look forward to…!

I’ve also selected 12 out of the 20 or so tracks I have written, for the album. Still much much work to do though.. Details coming soon…

As of now, I have about fifteen or so tracks that are written. (Some are finished, some aren’t.) However, I am still writing new material frequently, so when it comes time for the album, I’ll have a lot to choose from.

Many of you who’ve come here have been asking about what all I am going to release. Just to be clear, when the time comes for the album to be released, I will also release all full-length demos (including the ones I have portions of up now). As time goes by, I will most likely throw a few demos out there before the album, so just keep an eye out!

Also, since I’ve just put this up a few weeks ago, I’d like to thank all of you who have taken the time to take a look/listen. Can’t wait for you all to hear the full songs! So far, June, Blue Moon, Death Star, Luna, Hope, and A Million Miles of Words are all very close to being finished…

Also as explained in the About section, this project is all about being true and open. As certain tracks become more and more complete, we will upload selections. This is why we’ve decided to start this and open the website right now. A few tracks are complete, a few tracks aren’t. None of the songs have vocals cut yet, however. Taking the theme of being open in this project into consideration, we’ve decided to upload a few clips of the more finished songs, although none have vocals yet, and none have been mastered. These are merely demos. Enjoy watching them grow to the final product!
